Steps to setup your Dedicated Windows Server - EA Hosting
Pre-Order
1. Choose: Virtual Dedicated Dedicated Server at www.fxsystemhosting.com . Order a dedicated or virtual dedicated server with Windows Server 2003 (web or standard). It will take time to setup (24 - 72 hours). You can expedite the process by calling (480) 624-2500 after your order. After FX System Hosting has setup your server, login to your control panel in FX System Hosting and click "Dedicated Servers" and go to control panel. Then select a username and password. Make sure the hostname and username are different. Keep all of your passwords handy do not lose them!
Post-Order
2. Once your server is setup, you can login using Windows Remote Desktop Connection, usually found in accessories (start – programs – accessories) it may be in system tools depending on your windows installation. If for some reason you do not have RDC on your machine you can install it by going to Add/Remove Software and Add Windows components. RDC is included with all Windows installations. Or you can download it here:

Type in your IP then "/console" to always be logged in to console.
Example:
Console session is 'what you would see as if you were physically in front of the server'. With the new Terminal Services release it is possible to create multiple virtual sessions using the same windows username, so if you do not use /console then you could open several sessions, and your programs that were running on other sessions will not be seen. Windows Remote Desktop is designed for simple use, for sophisticated multi-user server management you will need to use advanced tools such as Radmin Remote Administration Software .
3. Perform server admin (such as fixing any errors) and proceed to windows update:

Do not install any software not connected to the execution of strategies (such as email)
For more than 1 installation of MT, reinstall using a different directory. If you are using multiple accounts, name the directory after the account name, such as /MetaTrader 5764.
Security Warning: Do not use this server for browsing or any general functions. When browsing, use high security settings on the browser at all times. Users will note default high security on IE.
